Since 1976, South Florida has been the stopping ground for Force-E.
We treat our customers like we run our business, like family. With nearly 40 years in the business, we could have gone in a different direction by putting dollars above all else, but that’s just our way. Our success is based on our love of snorkeling and diving, the ocean, conservation, education and community.
We have had a hand at shaping the South Florida dive community as it is now. We had in integral part in building the popularity of the Blue Heron Bridge, one of the most famous U.S. dive sites. In addition, we encourage our customers to be environmentally aware by hosting regular reef clean up, lionfish round ups, and educational seminars. And last, but not least, we like to party. Why is this so important? Well, diving is fun, and we should get together to celebrate it.

Skip & Cathy Commagere (Owners and Masterminds)
Skip and Cathy are the owners of the three Force-E Scuba Centers located in Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, and Riviera Beach. Skip started his diving career at the first YMCA Scuba Diving Certification course in Atlanta, GA and later became a Dive Instructor in 1961. In 1975, Skip and Cathy met and Cathy started diving here in Florida. The first Force-E Scuba Center was opened in 1976, and is currently one of the leaders in the dive community in South Florida to offer retail, training, and dive experiences. When Skip and Cathy go diving, their favorite dive site is the ledges in Delray called the Snapper Hole. Cathy loves diving in her new Aqua Lung Lotus i3 BCD and Skip loves to dive in all the equipment he sells at Force-E.
Ever wonder how Force-E can have so much going on, such a big staff, and stores fully stocked with the latest and greatest dive and snorkeling equipment? Well, meet Kerri. She may not be the Wizard of Oz, but she's the woman behind the curtain that keeps it all running smoothly.
Gary Thomas (Store Manager - Force-E Pompano Beach)
Gary is the manager at the Force-E in Pompano Beach. Gary started diving in 1974 here in Florida and currently is a PADI Course Director. If he is not in the store, then you will find Gary out teaching divers in the pool or in the ocean. His favorite South Florida dive site is the wreck of the Sea Emperor located in Pompano Beach. Gary’s favorite piece of dive equipment is his Mares Extreme fins because he enjoys the effortless kicks and strong power these fins provide. Gary also uses the Aqua Lung Axiom BCD, and Legend Regulator.
