About Force-E Scuba Centers - Force-E Scuba Centers

About Us

Since 1976, South Florida has been the stopping ground for Force-E.

We treat our customers like we run our business, like family. With over 40 years in the business, we could have gone in a different direction by putting dollars above all else, but that’s just our way. Our success is based on our love of snorkeling and diving, the ocean, conservation, education and community.

We have had a hand at shaping the South Florida dive community as it is now. We had in integral part in building the popularity of the Blue Heron Bridge, one of the most famous U.S. dive sites. In addition, we encourage our customers to be environmentally aware by hosting regular reef clean up, lionfish round ups, and educational seminars. And last, but not least, we like to party. Why is this so important? Well, diving is fun, and we should get together to celebrate it.

History of Force-E...

Skip & Cathy Commagere (Founders)

Skip and Cathy are the owners of the three Force-E Scuba Centers located in Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, and Riviera Beach. Skip started his diving career at the first YMCA Scuba Diving Certification course in Atlanta, GA and later became a Dive Instructor in 1961. In 1975, Skip and Cathy met and Cathy started diving here in Florida. The first Force-E Scuba Center was opened in 1976, and is currently one of the leaders in the dive community in South Florida to offer retail, training, and dive experiences. When Skip and Cathy go diving, their favorite dive site is the ledges in Delray called the Snapper Hole. Cathy loves diving in her new Aqua Lung Lotus i3 BCD and Skip loves to dive in all the equipment he sells at Force-E.

Steven Constantiner (Current Owner)

Steven started diving when he was 12, in the B.V.I. It has been a lifelong passion ever since. He took over the company from Skip and Cathy in May 2021, expanding our footprint to include Boynton and Ft. Lauderdale. Steven and his wife, Samantha, have three kids - Max, Teddy and Leo - and a dog, Scout. Steven loves diving the reefs off of Boynton and Delray. He dives his Aqualung Rogue BCD with an Atomic T3 and a Hollis mask. Steven formerly practiced law as an Assistant DA at the New York County (Manhattan) DA’s Office after graduating from NYU and Fordham Law School. Steven believes in building on the legacy of Skip and Cathy while keeping the same character of Force-E which he describes as “ having the best and most knowledgable staff and being customer-centric”.
