We have all seen them, those beautiful brown and white striped feathery critters on the reef. But did you know they really only belong in the Indo-Pacific and not here in Florida? The Lionfish is an invasive species in the Atlantic and Caribbean oceans.
John Chatterton is a world-renowned wreck diver with acclaim to numerous wrecks, including the WWII German Submarine U-869 chronicled in Rob Kurson’s Shadow Divers. He is a friend and excellent mentor to many of us here at Force-E Scuba Centers.
A new dive site off of our coastline here in Palm Beach has recently made a debut to Force-E Scuba divers. Palm Beach’s newest artificial reef site, the Ana Cecilia is the perfect wreck for scuba divers of all experience levels.
Spring is almost here in South Florida! Soon the water temperatures will start to warm up and the seas will calm down which means locals can get back into diving. Another great reason to get out on the water and go diving is its sea turtle nesting season, which means divers will most likely encounter more sea turtles underwater.
