Spring is almost here in South Florida! Soon the water temperatures will start to warm up and the seas will calm down which means locals can get back into diving. Another great reason to get out on the water and go diving is its sea turtle nesting season, which means divers will most likely encounter more sea turtles underwater.
In the month of November is one of our favorite holidays, Thanksgiving. Some people think this holiday is all about the food or all about family gathering or even about football. But Thanksgiving means a little more; its celebrated as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. Well here at Force-E we would like to celebrate by giving thanks to our ocean!
Through a shimmering mass of silver baitfish, a dark shadow slowly emerges. A huge, turned down mouth and burly, speckled brown body glides slowly forward. A thick, rounded tail fin sways back and forth in long, languid strokes. A gentle giant is approaching. This is a Goliath Grouper, and its story, once melancholy, is finally emerging from the dark.
Every day at Force-E we receive emails, phone calls and in-person visits from both locals and vacationers. Divers request information about dive sites, need help fixing their gear, or even ask how the weather forecast will effect diving conditions. Since Force-E opened in 1976, customers have trusted our knowledge and advice. We’re happy to help you in the shop, but our staff are eager to go one step further. We can join you underwater as a private guide!
It's that time of year that everyone gets ready for Halloween...so why not come celebrate with Force-E! We have two presentations by local photographer Suzan Meldonian, Alien Nation on Oct 19 at Force-E Riviera and Monster Mash on Oct 25 at Force-E Boca.
