Many celebrities, athletes and musicians are turning to diving as a form of leisure and a break from life in the fast lane! Check out our list of star studded divers (you may be surprised at some of the names!):

Tom Cruise, Actor- Tom Cruise is famous for doing his own stunts, this did not change while filming Mission Impossible- Rogue Nation where he was required to hold his breath underwater for 6+ minutes at a time. Cruise completed vigorous Freedive training prior to the making of the movie. “I had to learn how to hold my breath underwater for over six minutes for freediving because the takes are really long.  It’s the longest underwater sequence I’ve ever done and the way the director did it, I had to train beyond it because when you go to shoot I have to take the regulator out, get on the side of the set underwater, then the camera comes into place and then we call action. It was just very long takes… and we wanted to do it practical (sic).” -Tom Cruise

Prince William and Kate Middleton, British Royal Family- The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, recently completed her PADI Open Water certification, joining her husband as an experienced SCUBA Diver. Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, has spent many hours under the sea, and serves president of British Sub-Aqua Club. “Scuba diving really has opened my eyes not only to many extraordinary sights, but also to the responsibilities that we have as guardians of the underwater world,” said Prince William, “I hope that one day my son, George, will also experience the wonders that snorkeling and scuba diving have to offer.”
